These outstanding students created a working prototype of a satellite that can be used to pick up smaller, decommissioned satellites in space.
Not only did they win first place, but they also received the Best Prototype and the Industry Sector awards!

The #ESUSD IT team is working hard to roll out new laptops for teachers. 💻✨
They recently met with GST, the laptop vendor, to finalize device configuration and logistics. Each laptop will be branded with the ESUSD logo and prepped for distribution, ensuring educators have the tools they need to integrate technology seamlessly into the classroom.

Meet ESUSD Sweethearts Lauren & Garrett Thompson! 💙
Members of the Class of 2010, they first met during their junior year at ESHS. Lauren was a new student and arrived 20 minutes late to her first class, as she couldn’t find the classroom.
When she got to class, there was only one seat remaining—right in front of her future husband! Now, they celebrate 10 years of marriage and the joy of raising two children together.

Registration is now open for the 33rd annual Run for Education, hosted by the El Segundo Council of PTAs! 🏃
The run features USATF-certified 5K and 10K courses, as well as a Kids Fun Run! All funds raised will benefit projects and programs in the El Segundo Unified School District.

Chris and Tracey Dewar (ESHS Class of '96 and '97) were high school friends who lost touch after graduation.
They eventually lost touch, but reconnected on Facebook in 2010! Despite living in two different states—Tracey was in Texas and Chris was in California—they made long-distance dating work.
The couple tied the knot in 2011 and now call Flower Mound, TX, home!

The Battle of the South Bay Esports High School Championship is almost here! Join us for this free event on Tuesday, April 1, at 5:00pm at the Parras Middle School Gym in Redondo Beach. The top teams from El Segundo and Redondo Union High Schools will go head-to-head for gaming glory.
Who will take home the coveted trophy and amazing prizes? Don’t miss all the excitement!


While students had the day off for the recent March 7 staff In-Service Day, ESHS Eagle staff members were hard at work!
These staff members got to demonstrate their skills as ESUSD Graduate Profile Thinkers, Communicators, and Leaders during an activity where they worked together to design and construct paper structures. It was a great exercise in creativity, collaboration, and fun!






Three teams from the ESHS Engineering Pathway are tackling real-world challenges at LAX! ✈️✨
These students are working alongside TSA and Homeland Security to develop solutions for critical airport issues. Their ideas will be reviewed by professional engineers—and if they work, they could be implemented at airports nationwide.
These Eagles are making a difference!
