Today, we honor Rosa Parks, whose courageous stand on December 1, 1955, became a defining moment in the American civil rights movement.

By refusing to give up her seat on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama, she sparked a city-wide bus boycott that lasted over a year and inspired change across the nation.

Rosa Parks showed the world that one act of quiet bravery can ignite a movement. Her legacy reminds us that dignity, respect, and justice are worth standing up for.
