ESUSD offers residents of El Segundo the opportunity to request which elementary school they would like their grades TK-5 children to attend school within the district. ESUSD does its best to accommodate school choice/ school proximity to where you live. However, school choice is not guaranteed. Placement is based on availability within the district.

Parents wishing their student to continue in their home school /assigned school need not take any action.

Parents interested in participating in this program for the 2025-2026 school year or those not granted their school of choice last year, must complete an application during the week of Monday, May 5 through Friday, May 9, 2025 ONLY. 

For new resident families enrolling for the 2025-2026 school year that wish to apply, you will need to complete all required student enrollment paperwork  prior to applying for your school of choice. Upon confirmation of approval, any transfer of paperwork will be handled through the school sites.
