Dear Parents/Guardians,
In an effort to ensure children have access to meals in during the school shut down, the El Segundo Unified School District has partnered with local districts in the South Bay.
Any El Segundo family will be welcomed at any of the locations on the list at the link below to pick up breakfast and lunch for children at no charge for the duration of the school closure period. The programs listed are programs with size and staffing capacity to serve meals over an extended period of time without interruption. Please check the dates of service as meals will not be served during Spring Break.
- The programs listed will provide meals to any child aged 1 – 18 years from any school district with no charge.
- There is no requirement to show eligibility when you attend these programs, however children must be present to receive the meal.
- These programs will be solely for the pickup of meals to be consumed off site.
- Some programs will also have low cost meal options for adults to purchase as designated.
Families are encouraged to continue to be proactive in reducing the risk of COVID-19 by not congregating at the school site once meals have been distributed, continuing to wash hands often, sneezing or coughing into a tissue, and practicing social distancing while at the facilities.
Thank you for your support of the El Segundo school community.
Sincerely,
Kim Linz
